Intermodal Service Capacity
Our intermodal capacity is defined by our freight and warehousing capacities servicing the ports of
Mobile, AL and New Orleans, LA

Freight Capacity

Currently we have the capacity to move 4,000 container loads per month.

Our freight infrastructure includes 185 power units, the ability to haul 20 foot and 40 foot containers, as well as 40 foot reefer containers.

We operate a fleet of Triaxle tilt chassis and 40ft dump trailers to handle our bulk customer needs.

Southern Intermodal Xpress also offer flat beds and van service to our clients within a 400-mile range of Mobile, AL.

Warehousing Capacity

Southern Intermodal Xpress has a current warehousing capacity of 1.5 million square feet

Our partner Merchants Transfer, with 100 years of experience, offers secure facilities with flexible lease arrangement, and private or contract warehousing.

Three separate facilities in Mobile County have easy access to I-65, I-10, I-165 and Highway 43.

Safety

Minimum Driver Requirements :

A) Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier guidelines
B) Must have valid CDL with proper endorsements
C) No serious or disqualifying traffic violations within last three years
D) No more than four moving violations in past 36 months
E) No preventable accidents involving a fatality
F) Minimum of two years experience
G) Must be 23 years old or older
